Is it okay for toddler to sip a little herbal tea?
November 09, 2009My daughter wants to do everything I do. I often have herbal tea in the evenings, peppermint or chamomile. There is no harm in allowing her to have some is there?
My nephew loves tea, especially raspberry. His mom lets him drink a whole cup full on his own. He is very healthy, so I would say it’s completely ok. If you’re still weary about it, ask her pediatrician.

I would not see a problem with it considering those are caffeine free teas they are to help relax you so i do not see a problem with letting her have a few sips of it

I agree with the first post, but if she wants to have more than a few sips, like drinking the whole cup, maybe try getting her a play teacup and fill it with water or juice, or even warm it up a little bit and put some lemon and honey (if she’s over a year old) in it to make her feel like she is special because she has her own "tea".

There is no harm at all in giving your daughter chamomile, peppermint or even an echinacea tea to help support the immune system, we do it all the time.
My wife and I have a chai company at http://www.yogicchai.com and Dalia loves our Rooibos Chai, no caffeine and it helps support her digestion.
There is an extensive database of Chinese Herbal Formulas used by pediatrician in China and acupuncturist in USA.

I see no harm in it as long as it is just a few sips. Or a very small cup every so often. I enjoy a good cup if coffee every so offen. I make my duaghter some hot chocolate. She loves it, she feels like she is drinking coffee like me.
Good Luck
