Weight loss tea??

November 12, 2009

Has anyone tried that Okinawa or Oolong tea?
does it aid in weight loss? i understand that you wont totally lose weight JUST because you drink the tea, but does it help?
i’d like to hear from anyone who has tried it.

Oolong tea, otherwise known as Wu Long tea is promoted widely as an aid to weight loss. See through the outrageous claims made in many ads and there is some evidence to suggest that it may raise your metabolic rate so that you burn more calories.

However the research trials have been limited and the evidence base far from conclusive.

What I would say is that just as with green tea, there are a variety of health benefits that could be gained from drinking Wu Long tea, so whether or not it will help you to lose significant amounts of weight, it may actually do you some good.

You’re quite correct in your assertion that you won’t lose weight just because you drink it so ignore the hype that it’s the "world’s most powerful fat burner".

However, drinking a few cups of green tea or Wu long tea a day may help supplement your diet and exercise regime.
