Just curious (:
Green tea is the naturally dried tea leaves. When tea leaves are fully fermented, that creates black tea. Oolong is partially fermented tea leaves.
All tea comes from the same plant. White tea is from the newest growth of green tea leaves and orange pekoe is black tea.
I just can’t get ENOUGH of that stuff! I put two tea spoons of sugar and I want to know if this
can hurt the baby? I know its got caffeine I just don’t know how much. I drink about 3 to 4 cups
a day. I’m 11 weeks pregnant from conception. Is this bad for the baby? Should I cut it down to maybe 2 cups a day?
Talk to Dr. My Dr told me not to drink any herbal teas (not sure if oolong has herbs in it too…) because the herbs have not been readily tested by the FDA to be safe for pregnant women. She said plain black tea (with sugar and fruit juices to flavor) is fine but also to avoid green tea until the end because it can cause contractions. I still drink some herbal teas occasionally though… I do believe you are allowed so much caffeine a day and I think it adds up to 4 glasses of tea.
My friend told me, But is it true ?
nope,,

tea can be good for you but it isnt magic.
no…Oolong is leaf tea…herb tea is made from herbs…read the ingredients on the boxes.
I would first look for it on a website if no stores near you seem to carry it. Then, you can have it shipped right to your door.
If that’s not an option, you can try to head over to your local grocery store’s website. Most stores now have hard-to-find sections where they allow you to send them an email about the item you’re looking for… then if their distributors make the product they can special order if and have it shipped to your local store for you.
Hope that helps…
