Its one of those things I never remember at the doc office to ask. But Ive always wondered what kind of tea my daughter can have. Shes 3 and I always wonder if she can have some chamomille tea with me or a sip of my green tea when Im drinking it. And just all teas in general. Anyone know a good site? Everyone I go to it says, consult doctor. So thats not helpful. Thanks in advance!

My son is 3 and he loves just about every herbal tea he can get his hands on. His favorite is a black cherry berry made by celestial seasonings. I find that chamomile tea helps soothe him when he has an upset tummy, and just about any tea without caffeine in it is just fine to give to kids……in moderation of course Our family doc says there is nothing wrong with giving it to him at this age, it helps them to enjoy a variety of beverages that aren’t soda pop!

I do know a little about tea and I drink both of those, pretty much daily, because of the health benefits. I was wondering if someone could let me know the full health benefits of each one? For example, that green tea can help with weight loss and that white tea is generally helpful to keeping your skin healthy. What are others? Lots of information and detail would be great, and if you have any sources, let me know! Thanks in advance!

Today, scientific research in both Asia and the west is providing hard evidence for the health benefits long associated with drinking green tea. There is also research indicating that drinking green tea lowers total cholesterol levels, as well as improving the ratio of good (HDL) cholesterol to bad (LDL) cholesterol. White tea may have profound power against cancer-causing cells and against many different types of cancer, such as colon, prostate, and stomach cancers. t helps lower high blood pressure and maintain a healthy one. By promoting strong and healthy blood vessels, white tea guards against the ravages of stroke.White tea is a natural killer of bacteria and viruses. The antioxidants so abundant in white tea tone the entire immune system, providing protection against a variety of invaders and a wide range of diseases.

Chamomile is a tisane and not really a tea. But it’s very good for you. Continue drinking it.

I am throwing a tea party for my cousin who is 8 and a few of her friends, and I was wondering if there was a tea that would be safe for me to drink?

I’m 17 weeks pregnant – thanks for the help!

Tea has less caffeine than soda or coffee, and caffeine is ok as long as its not excessive. So really you should be fine drinking any sort of tea, except for some herbal teas. I’d recommend green tea, because the amount of caffeine is low, its really good iced or hot, and its extremely good for you. Its been shown to boost your metabolism, and is full of antioxidants.

Chai Tea has a ton of caffeine in it, my mother in law used to live in turkey with 4 kids, hated coffee and started drinking Chai Tea, she said it gave her the biggest boost ever. Green Tea and Black Teas also have a lot of caffeine in them, but try Chai Tea with a little bit of honey, and you’ll love it!

normally, green tea is not green. Bottled green tea sometimes contains food coloring to make it more green or an acceptable color because the natural color might be offensive…what do you think of that?

I’m glad you’re so observant. It’s best to just make your own green tea, anyway. It’s easy….more affordable, and better for you! Just take two or three bags and steepin a few cups of hot water on the bottom of a container. Then add honey or sugar to taste…then fill container first with ice, then cold water to top off! Save old bottles and fill and put in the fridge. If you’re in a pinch I’d say that it’s fine to buy the store bought green tea but I’d buy the sugarless kind…because the calorie content in sugared green tea is too much. The food coloring shouldn’t really be that bad for you, not considering most of what people’s diets are like. If you’re really health conscience, then it’s an issue.

Many companies market things that are so deceiving…it’s all over the place. You need to read every nutritional label and become familiar.

But green tea is very good for you!
