I do know a little about tea and I drink both of those, pretty much daily, because of the health benefits. I was wondering if someone could let me know the full health benefits of each one? For example, that green tea can help with weight loss and that white tea is generally helpful to keeping your skin healthy. What are others? Lots of information and detail would be great, and if you have any sources, let me know! Thanks in advance!
Today, scientific research in both Asia and the west is providing hard evidence for the health benefits long associated with drinking green tea. There is also research indicating that drinking green tea lowers total cholesterol levels, as well as improving the ratio of good (HDL) cholesterol to bad (LDL) cholesterol. White tea may have profound power against cancer-causing cells and against many different types of cancer, such as colon, prostate, and stomach cancers. t helps lower high blood pressure and maintain a healthy one. By promoting strong and healthy blood vessels, white tea guards against the ravages of stroke.White tea is a natural killer of bacteria and viruses. The antioxidants so abundant in white tea tone the entire immune system, providing protection against a variety of invaders and a wide range of diseases.
I know everyone is in to this tea or that because of the "healthy benefits" they offer, but what about a cup of fresh brewed lipton tea? I usually do not put anything in it, but sometimes I’ll add some honey or lemon.
Black tea has been used throughout history for medical purposes, long before it became a breakfast tea. It helps relieve diarrhea, lowers cholesterol levels and helps prevent tooth decay. The tea has a therapeutic effect on gastric and intestinal illnesses because of its tannins, which decrease intestinal activity and exerts an antidiarrheal effect. To get the maximum benefit for diarrhea, let the tea steep for a full 15 minutes. This releases a good amount of tannins, also drink it unsweetened.
Unlike high levels of caffeine found in coffee, the low amounts in black tea promotes blood flow in the brain without overstimulating the heart. The caffeine in black tea sharpens mental focus and concentration, and the trace element fluoride inhibits tooth decay. Black tea also contains abuindant tannins, astringent chemicals and soothing anti-inflammatory effects on the digestive tract.
i have just started drinking raspberry leaf tea, and i am finding it extremely bland and tasteless. its like drinking plain hot water. I found it in tea bag form, rather than leaves, so there is no chance that i am just making it wrong. has anyone found any way to make it taste better? or taste at all for that matter? like adding honey or something?
lol, yes, raspberry leaf tea is something you drink durring pregnancy to help soften the cervix, and prepare the uterus.
My Bradley class instructor sent this to me, but I haven’t tried it for myself yet:
"one cup herb to one quart water, simmered down to half and strained. Then heavily sweetened with honey."
She said you could also use this and freeze them into ice cubes which you could munch on in the delivery room.
I had a miscarriage about two weeks ago. What foods to avoid triggering a miscarriage?
I have heard that red raspberry leaf tea i very good during pregnancy and helps prepare the uterus before….is this true?
What have your experiences been with miscarriages and if you have tried red raspberry tea?
Thank you.
throughout your pregnancy you will hear lots of things to drink/eat and not to drink/eat. some true, some not. i drank red respberry leaf tea the last week of my pregnancy.. im not sure if it did any good or not. it didn’t taste very well though. I’ve heard that it’s just an old wives tale.
as for the miscarriage.. lots of things can trigger that. it most likely wasnt something you did or didn’t do.. maybe your body just wasn’t ready. just be healthy(keep your body healthy) and keep trying.
good luck sweetie
Ive started to love tea lately, but i want my teeth to look nice. Ive mainly been drinking green tea, and my mom recently bought a "sleepy time tea" that has chamomile in it. So which types of teas should i avoid to prevent the most stains?
Black teas are the worse for staining your teeth.
Chamomile is a tisane and not really a tea. But it’s very good for you. Continue drinking it.
