I drink approximately a bottle a day of the Lipton Diet tea in bottles. I noticed that citric acid is the second ingredient on the label, next to water. How much citric acid is in this stuff? Is it as bad as pop? Citric acid wears at your enamel……..
Any kind of beverages that contain high amounts of citric acid or sugar can be harmful to your teeth. Drinking those beverages in moderation is perfectly fine. The problem that people run into is that they open a soda or other sugared drink and they sip on it throughout the day. Slowly drinking the drink causes the sugars to build up on your teeth which can later lead to decay over time. If you are going to drink sodas or other bottled drinks its best to drink the drink and throw it out, then give your teeth a quick brush, don’t sit around sipping on it over time. …………and remember water is good as well…and FREE!!
I want to buy tazo tea from Starbucks online, but they have different types for iced tea and hot tea. Its the same flavor, but one is for hot tea and the other one is for hot tea. What is the difference between the two tea bags?
I don’t think that the bag material is different. Tazo is a brand of tea sold elsewhere as well as at Starbucks. If you really have to know, you could contact the company. But there is no need to have a different kind of bag. Many who brew tea for iced tea do so with hot water anyway. We saw a tea maker at Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf the other day and it was designed to be used without a bag and with hot water.
Tea bag tea is generally of lower quality in comparison to whole leaf teas. Should you find yourself enjoying tea more, consider venturing into whole leaf teas. Some are really amazing.
For a college class I am doing a research paper over the health benefits of tea, particularly those relating to students. I am required to have a primary source included and would like to contact someone with knowledge in the area. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I should go about finding one? Communication by email is enough for my purposes
You can go to a medical library and ask the librarian to do a search of recent articles about the health benefits of tea. With those results, try to contact the publisher or author(s) of the article(s) by doing a bit of extra research.
You could also do a search yourself– www.PubMed.gov is a great place to start. Also, try www.Medlineplus.gov. That’s a great resource for consumer information.
I was just drinking a cup of green tea, and I started getting curious. I’ve always heard green tea was good for you and what not, but how is it good for you? Does it clear your skin or something?
So, my question is…
What are the benefits of drinking green tea?
Are there any bad things about drinking green tea?
I mean like actual green tea. Like the tea in a bag, you put it in hot water and drink it.
Haha, is it weird that I never put anything in my tea? I love the natural flavoring.
